0800 - Pacific Challenge Race 2002 Finish
Ships assemble at Point Fermin
1300 -1500 Grand Parade of Sail
All participating tall ships escorted by yacht clubs and small boat flotilla.

Saturday September 7th:
0700 - 0900 Captain's Breakfast (Private Event)

Ships open to the public
0930 Official Los Angeles Welcoming Ceremony
Announcement of Race Results
1400 - 1630 - Day Sails/Cannon Battles on selected ships

0900 - 1700 Vendor Booths Open
Ships Open to the Public (Subject to change)

1200 - Ships begin departing for San Diego
September 11th Observance
Though not part of the Festival of Sail, a special memorial service will be held offshore at Big Corona Beach, near Newport Beach, to commemorate September 11, 2001. Woodson K. Woods, Executive Director for the Lynx, is organizing the observance. The event will be open to the public with ample parking at the Big Corona Beach parking lot. Here are some additional details.
